Defending a Rotating Planet

Cosmic Sentinel Orbital Defense casts the player as a planetary guardian. The setting is a single rotating celestial body, and the threat arrives in waves of hostile objects that approach from surrounding space. The player's job is straightforward to state but demanding to sustain: keep the planet intact as each wave grows more challenging. Because the planet rotates, threats arrive from shifting angles, so attention must stay on the whole orbit rather than one fixed direction. [IMG_1]

Selecting Threats and Managing Resources

Interaction is built around selecting incoming ships to neutralize them. That single action is the core of every encounter, and accuracy matters because a missed selection lets a threat continue toward the planet. Between waves, earned resources are spent on two things: purchasing additional spacecraft and improving existing ones. A menu, typically reached through a side icon, lists unlockable abilities that can be activated for later battles. When preparations are finished, a start button launches the next wave. [IMG_2]

Upgrades, Skills, and Fleet Balance

Progression is tied to the cycle of defense, spending, and upgrading. Each successful encounter feeds into a stronger defensive line, so earlier decisions shape later difficulty. Unlockable skills add strategic depth by letting players tailor their approach rather than following one fixed build. A balanced fleet often outperforms a single powerful ship because coverage matters when threats arrive from multiple directions. Skills that improve reaction speed or defensive strength can be prioritized to match a preferred play style. [IMG_3]

Accessibility and Platform Support

Cosmic Sentinel Orbital Defense is developed by FGL Webgames and scheduled for release in February 2026. It is built with WebGL and runs in modern browsers on personal computers, smartphones, and tablets. A full-screen mode is available. The design is suitable for players aged three and above, with no graphic or mature content. The emphasis stays on strategic planning and resource allocation, which makes it easy to pick up for short sessions while still rewarding careful fleet composition.
