Shape-Shifting Core Mechanic
The mouse under your control cycles through geometric forms — square, triangle, and circle. Every piece of cheese on the board also belongs to one of those shapes. Points come only from steering over cheese that matches the mouse's current form. Because the form changes periodically, you cannot settle into a single route; each shift forces a new read of the board and a new plan.
Traps and Route Planning
Cheese is not the only thing on the board. Traps appear in recognizable patterns, and touching one ends the round immediately. Their placements reward observation: after a few attempts, you start to anticipate where danger clusters and which lanes stay safer. The tension between grabbing matching cheese quickly and threading around hazards is what gives each round its shape.
Escalating Pace and Timer Pressure
As you progress, the mouse changes form more frequently and traps cluster more densely. A countdown timer runs throughout, so hesitation costs points. The combination means early rounds teach the rules, while later rounds demand faster recognition and cleaner movement. Layouts are generated fresh, so memorizing one board is not enough — you learn the system, not a script.
Visual Clarity and Controls
Bright, high-contrast colors separate the three shapes and the traps at a glance. Keyboard keys move the mouse across the board, and collecting a matching cheese piece produces clear visual feedback. That simplicity keeps the game approachable for children and adults alike without stripping away the challenge.
Scoring and Replay
A round ends when the timer expires or you hit a trap. Your score reflects how many matching pieces you collected. Since shape changes and obstacle arrangements vary, repeated attempts stay unpredictable. The score system gives a natural reason to try again — to beat a personal best or compare results with friends.
